In 1965, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, GBMC, was founded by the merging of the Women’s Hospital of Maryland and the Presbyterian Eye Hospital. With that came the residency training program from Women’s Hospital. This training program continued until 2002 and had a long tradition of training OBGYNs in the State of Maryland. Doctors Ginny Merryman and Dominique Allen are a product of that training program, which was at the forefront of minimally invasive surgery and a long tradition of exceptional obstetrical care.

With years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, as well as advanced practice experience in primary care, urgent care medicine and behavioral health, Amanda Nossel MSN, CRNP, MSCP joined our team in 2019. Dr. Amanda Mahle MD, PhD, joined our team in 2021 after completing her Ph.D in biochemistry at the University of Maryland College Park and a rigorous residency program at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

We are overjoyed to round out our healthcare team with the esteemed addition of Dr. John Hebb in the Fall of 2026.  Initially completing law school at the University of Maryland, he quickly realized that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather Dr. John Hebb, his aunt Dr. Deborah Hebb, and his proud mother our very own Dr. Ginny Merryman. He completed a very competitive medical program at Georgetown and is currently a chief resident at Sinai Hospital.
